The Women of the Church encourage the involvement of confirmed women of all ages in faithful Christian living. There are many ways to serve and grow as women of faith at Advent Lutheran Church, such as,
Annual Retreat, Circle meetings, Dorcas Society, Prayer Shawl ministry, Supporting local and foreign missions, Topical Bible Studies, Fellowship meals, Visitation Altar Flower delivery to sick, Women’s Sunday, Baptismal Candles and Books, Confirmation presents, Care of the worship vessels and more.

Dorcas Society of Advent

The Dorcas ladies meet every Tuesday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Their primary activity is ministry through the gift of crafting a variety of items (Angels for hospice, Apron’s for Alzheimer patients, Chrismons for the Church and a host of other projects) that incorporate their love of Christ with the love they share for his people.
Lunch is provided as pot-luck and it works out beautifully.
